Join Silver Birch Care Holdings as our HR & Payroll Administrator and make sure the people who care for children and young people across the Group are paid accurately, on time, every time. You'll be the go-to person for everyday HR and payroll queries and own the records that keep our organisation running smoothly, from someone's first day to their last.

What you'll be doing

•    Payroll: support the monthly Group payroll, checking hours, overtime, sleep-ins, absence and allowances against HR and rostering records

•    Employee lifecycle: process starters, leavers and contract changes, and prepare contracts, variation letters and family-friendly correspondence

•    Systems & data: keep Sona accurate and up to date, support managers with self-service and produce HR, payroll and KPI reports

•    Compliance: help monitor DBS, professional registrations and right to work, and support audits, GDPR and Subject Access Requests

•    Pensions & benefits: handle enrolments, opt-outs and re-enrolments, and liaise with providers

•    First point of contact: manage the HR/payroll inbox and answer routine queries quickly and professionally

•    Improvement: spot ways to simplify and standardise processes and support HR system projects

What we're looking for

•    Experience in HR administration, payroll administration, or both

•    Excellent attention to detail and confidence working with numbers and data

•    Able to prioritise, multi-task and hit payroll deadlines under pressure

•    Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused approach

•    Complete discretion with confidential information

•    A CIPD or relevant HR qualification is desirable
